Francis Cardinal George Center for Ministerial Development

The Ministerial Leadership Preparation Program (MLPP) is an essential component of the Francis Cardinal George Center.

About the Program

As a ministry of the Roman Catholic Church Resurrection Health Care is committed to preserving and advancing the healing mission of Jesus Christ. This commitment is carried out, in part, by addressing the ministries need for dedicated and competent ministry leaders.

Resurrection Health Care understands ministry leaders (as distinguished from leaders in the ministry) to be those who serve in a position that has the capacity, by virtue of its power or influence, to significantly focus or advance, on the one hand, or significantly deflect or impede, on the other hand, the collective ministerial mission of the organization they serve.

Within Resurrection Health Care those who serve as members of the Sponsorship Board, those who are members of the Board of Trustees and certain senior executives are considered to be ministerial leaders.

In this context the mission of the Cardinal George Center is quite simple: to provide on going support and developmental opportunities for current and future ministerial leaders in Catholic health care and other ecclesial ministries.

An essential component of the Francis Cardinal George Center is its Ministerial Leadership Preparation Program (MLPP), which is sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the Sisters of the Resurrection and the Sisters of Saint Francis of Perpetual Adoration.
